Benjamin You

My name is Benjamin, and I am a high school student from Ithaca, New York. Growing up surrounded by the natural landscapes and gorges of the Finger Lakes, I developed a deep appreciation for the environment and a strong awareness of how local ecosystems need active stewardship. Over time, seeing the growing impact of urban heat, shifting weather patterns, and environmental degradation on communities motivated me to take action using data and technology. By combining systems engineering and software development with grassroots community outreach, I hope to help build accessible tools and local initiatives that empower young people to drive meaningful, lasting environmental solutions in their own hometowns.
